Why Three Turns?
3T stands for Three Turns—the three turns made around the barrels. The name comes from the western and barrel-racing community around the company, and it points straight toward work 3T understands: horse trailers, gates, arenas, trucks, trailers, and hard-used equipment.
Four generations of welders, builders, mentors, and business owners stand behind the work. 3T carries that family line forward from Minnesota to Montana.
Founder of Netter Machine Shop in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Founded Dispatch Welding & Erectors and Electrical Builders in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Founder of Substations, Inc. in Colstrip, Montana. Creek gave Netter most of his hands-on experience in substation and field work.
Fourth-generation welder and founder of 3T, providing custom fabrication, welding, design, and field service from Helena, Montana. Also founder and host of the podcast Kicking Ass with the Working Class.
Helena is home base, and the standard remains the same: understand how the equipment gets used, solve the real problem, and build something worth putting the family name on.
Three turns. One reputation. Built to last.
Simple process
Tell us what you want built, changed, or repaired.
Show us the equipment, the problem, or the rough idea. We can work out the details together.
We agree on the scope, estimate, timing, and whether the work happens in the shop or in the field.
Straightforward rates
Every build is different, but the way 3T prices the work is straightforward. You approve the direction and the written scope; 3T handles the fabrication decisions needed to deliver the result you asked for.
Welding, fabrication, dirt-work, and landscaping labor, plus the equipment needed to perform the job. Our mobile welding service brings the shop to you while staying competitive with Helena-area shop rates.
Based on project complexity, detail, and file requirements.
Nesting multiple jobs on one 4×8 sheet can dramatically lower the cost per part.
Priority response for breakdowns and urgent field repairs.
Quote acceptance & payment agreement. Accepting a quote requires a signed project agreement. Any balance not paid in full within 14 calendar days after project completion will make the customer ineligible for future work with 3T.
Locally sourced material. 3T primarily sources through Pacific Steel in Helena. Material is billed at supplier cost plus 10% for sourcing, pickup, coordination, and handling.
Multi-division projects. Large projects involving more than one 3T division are reviewed and bid as a complete scope.
Start with the details
Upload a finished drawing, a DXF or DWG file, or a photo of a rough sketch. If you do not know metalwork, explain the result you want and 3T will help determine the next step.
